The SADC supports local economic development. Looking for advice or financial support to carry out your local projects? This is the place!
For many years, the SADC has partnered with Place aux jeunes Arthabaska and Place aux jeunes Érable to organize exploratory stays that allow young workers to discover our region and its job opportunities, with the goal of eventually settling here.
To support the development of the Mont Gleason winter sports station, the SADC provided assistance that enabled the creation of a strategy and concrete action to increase visitor lift capacity. By the end of this project, Mont Gleason was able to install a new quadruple chairlift.
The SADC, the Corporation de développement économique de Victoriaville et sa région (CDEVR), and the Chambre de commerce et d’industrie Bois-Francs/L’Érable (CCIBFE) developed and launched the I Buy Here, I Also Win campaign to support the recovery of commercial businesses in the Arthabaska and L’Érable MRCs.
The SADC helped repurpose the Sainte-Sophie-d’Halifax church to create ESPACESOPHIA, a dynamic multi-service gathering place for the community that offers food, sports, rental, and event services.
Since the start of Artha Récolte in 2020, the SADC has been actively involved in overseeing the project, which aims to reduce food waste by facilitating the collection and processing of surplus produce from market gardeners in the Arthabaska MRC.
The SADC supported the Mont Apic winter sports station in its development project. Thanks to this project, the organization was able to devise solutions that will, among other things, offer more ski days and reduce weather dependence.
Since Fromages, Bouffe & Traditions is mindful of integrating sustainable development principles, the SADC provided assistance during the 2021 edition to help organize an event powered by clean, renewable energy. A bold and innovative project in Quebec’s event scene!
